Prior to placement, the provider shall evaluate the compatibility between the individual and the proposed sponsored residential home.

The placement matching process shall consider:

• The individual’s clinical needs;
• Age and developmental needs;
• Personality and interpersonal characteristics;
• Trauma history;
• Behavioral patterns;
• Safety concerns;
• Cultural considerations;
• Communication needs;
• Medical needs;
• Educational needs;
• Vocational needs;
• Family and community connections;
• Transportation needs;
• The needs of other individuals residing in the home; and
• The sponsor household’s ability to provide appropriate care and support.

Placement decisions shall prioritize the individual’s safety, well-being, treatment needs, and ability to successfully integrate into the residential environment.
